About Us

High Country Sports Arena, Inc is a 501(c)3 Non-profit corporation as designated by the IRS.  We operate High Country Sports Arena located at 18960 Waylon Way, Sonora, CA 95370 for the benefit of the local community.  High Country Sports Arena offers sports programs for kids of all ages including: Inline Hockey, Roller Derby, open skating and Artistic Skating.  The facility has been used for a number of fundraising benefits for community members.  Our facility consists of a 175'x75' Skating surface with Sportcourt floor, Border Patrol boards and tempered glass, four sided scoreboard in middle of rink, Stadium cushioned seating for 104 spectators, raised snack bar for easy view of the floor, 4 large locker rooms with showers, proshop and rental shop. The facilty is a open span facility with approximately 20,000 sq ft and the open floor area 13,000 sq ft which can be used for multiple uses.

High Country Sports Arena, Inc is operated by a board of volunteers that not only provide direction for the facility but also manage and run a lot of the programs in the facility.  We are very fortunate to have a board of directors that believe in our community and the benefit our facility provides.

High Country Sports Arena has a policy that ability to pay will not prevent children of all ages in their participation in our programs.  We offer reduced costs that are below most other programs in our area of region but in addition we allow for people to volunteer to help cover their costs for those that still can not afford to pay.  This can be a partial or full basis for league and participation fees.

Mission Statement - High Country Sports Arena seeks to promote community and personal health through sports. Our mission is two-fold. We will create and maintain High Country Sports Arena, an indoor sports arena operated in a manner that will allow access to our entire community. Equally important, HCSA will create and direct a sports program that is carefully and innovatively designed to promote good sportsmanship, teamwork, non-adversarial relationships, excellence, and most of all fun. The community spirit, self-esteem building, and positive outlook engendered by our program will translate directly to a healthier individual and community. We believe that our children deserve the best opportunity to experience sports in an environment that promotes cooperation and is free of negativity. The endless gifts derived from a healthy experience in sports can be the foundation of a vibrant community.
